Welcome to the BRAND NEW UWOToday.com!

It is with great pleasure that I officially welcome you to Western’s newest website – UWOToday.com. UWOToday’s purpose is three-fold: it is a means to inform students of information pertinent to student life as a Mustang, it provides a path of communication between students/faculty/alumni, and it contributes to the overall betterment of student life at Western.

The concept for UWOToday.com is based on a similar website launched at the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, Indiana, in 1999 – NDToday.com. In the seven years since NDToday has launched, it has become an essential resource for all Notre Dame students. In 2003, CCI Studios – a Canadian company, bought NDToday.com and since has spread its idea to schools such as Yale University, University of Michigan, Ohio State University, and the University of Texas.

Today, with UWOToday.com, we are honoured to launch the very first ‘Today.com’ website in Canada. It is a very exciting endeavour for CCI Studios as it brings our work full-circle to the country we are from, and it marks a new generation in online experience for Western students.

The website offers countless features that you, the user, can take advantage of. Whether you want to interact with fellow users on our Message Boards, get a pulse of London’s nightlife with our Bar Listing, see how a Professor rates before you choose them for a class with our Teacher Evaluations, or simply want to take a break and play some of our online Games – there is no shortage of services to keep you busy. As well, UWOToday has up the minute weather information and current new headlines specific to Western.

These are just a sampling of the features we have on the website, and I encourage you to take some time, peruse the site, and enjoy everything UWOToday has to offer.

I would also like to take this opportunity to inform our users of CCI Studios’ commitment to UWOToday.com and the university itself. One constant through our years of providing the Today.com sites to universities and colleges is that our users absolutely make us who we are. We are determined to make UWOToday.com a website that improves student life, but also serves as a positive representation of the Western community and all of the talented individuals within it. We will continually strive for this goal.
