Is Facebook becoming the new phone number? This is a question that i have often thought about; More and more, I am noticing myself as well as others always asking are you on facebook, answer if yes, reply, nice, I will add you. I swear people don't even bother to ask for phone numbers anymore because facebook really is just as good and sometimes better,because you can avoid the awkwardness of making that first call, which especially applies to myself and my stutter/voice crack embarrassing first minute of the first phone call, but really doesn't that strike you as so impersonal or too personal (read later), isn't someone being interested in you enough to ask for your phone number just make you feel better than asking to add you on facebook and also the more obvious reason is, allowing someone a snapshot into your life ie. facebook profile filled with your interests, pics, information take all the fun out of finding out who you are?
